Natura App

What the Plant?

Game-ifed Botany knowledge for all
Scope of work:

To conceive, develop, and design a mobile application focused on human-centric UX/UI.

is vital to our existence, however we often take it for granted.

Most children today can identify hundreds of Corporate Logos but less than 10 native plants. There needs to be a faster, easier way to educate people about the nature around them!

Nature…

brand story:

Natura is a mobile application that helps people learn about the plants in their local area or wherever they visit in a fun, interactive way blending education with engagement.

People are encouraged to go outside and enjoy all our natural world has to offer while cataloging discoveries with map locations and share with a built in community.

The colors chosen for the application reflect the cool curiosity of nature, while the clean, scientific sans-serif typography makes learning easy and memorable in a modern screen-obsessed world.

creative approach:

User flow through the app was designed to be intuitive and provides ease for a wide age range of users.

Easy-to-use navigation features pixel-perfect outlined icons right at your fingertips. The custom iconography was intentionally sized and positioned to be clear and accessible for all.

Through a less intrusive layering technique, the descriptive information appears over the blurred-out picture of the plant in question keeping the user immersed in their natural environment.

user experience strategy:
